Trevor is an Analyst based in Control Risks’ Nairobi office and provides political, operational and security risk research and analysis on Eastern and Southern Africa. He is a regular contributor to Control Risks’ subscription services and provides support for bespoke consultancy engagements for clients operating in the region.

A stakeholder assessment of civil society and political groups in the energy, oil and gas sector for an international energy company in Namibia.
A human rights risk assessment in the agricultural sector in Kenya for an international retail chain.
Ongoing monitoring of elections-related developments across Africa, including Kenya, Angola & Zimbabwe for a global technology company.
An Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) risk assessment of the offshore oil and gas, energy sector in Namibia including the development of Green Hydrogen for an international energy company.
Conducted a country assessment regarding a change in various mining regulations for an international mining firm with operations in Tanzania.
Trevor holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, International Relations from Sciences Po Paris, and a master’s degree in African Studies from the University of Oxford where his research focused on Language Education Policy in Mali. Trevor speaks fluent Swahili and French and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
