Sinéad Owen is an Associate Consultant in Control Risks' Digital Risks team. She provides cyber incident response services to clients across Europe and Africa.
Sinéad’s role adopts a multi-faceted approach to dealing with complex cyber security incidents. Through close coordination with advisory, intelligence and forensic services across Control Risks, she provides crisis management advice, in addition to containment and eradication recommendations that draw upon Control Risks’ depth of experience in responding to incidents across multiple sectors.
Recent tasks that Sinéad has worked on include:
Prior to joining Control Risks, Sinéad conducted open-source research to contribute to the NATO DEEP Counter-Terrorism Reference Curriculum (CTRC) to design and deliver methodology presentations. Modules in the CTRC included Terrorist Use of Cyber Space & Technology, and Converging Technologies. Sinéad has also gained professional experience in legal placements, academic research and editing, and the heritage sector.
Sinéad studied History at University College London and also holds an MSc in Theory and History of International Relations from the London School of Economics.
