Mouhamed is an Associate Director in the Cyber Risk Advisory team and is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway University of London.

Mouhamed has experience working with compliance regimes, including ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, NIST special publication 800-53 and the Public Services Network for UK public systems. 

Mouhamed has also worked extensively with C-Suite executives, senior management and technical teams across the manufacturing, technological, financial and public sectors.

Recent tasks that Mouhamed has worked on include:

  • Led cyber due diligence assessments at pre-acquisition, to inform investment, and post-acquisition, to support the integration of the target’s technology.
  • Conducted maturity assessments for financial, manufacturing and legal sector organisations based on the NIST Cyber Security Framework. This included a series of strategic and tactical recommendations to meet global cyber security goals.
  • Designed and ran wargaming exercises for public and private sector organisations.
  • Conducted an in-depth review of crisis response to a major information security-based incident.
  • Part of a crisis management team providing specialist information security expertise to the response team.
  • Prior to joining Control Risks, Mouhamed worked for BAE Systems Digital Intelligence within their security consulting division where he supported UK public sector organisations. This included operating as the security lead for a UK national policing programme and managing an ISO 27001 Information Security Management System for a central UK government department.
