Tim is a Partner and leads our West Africa business, advising clients on risk, strategy and complex operating environments. Based in Lagos, his particular focus is on African markets, security-sensitive issues, and crisis management. He works at the intersection of commercial decision-making, political & regulatory risk, and operational on-ground execution.
What sets Tim apart is his ability to combine threat and risk insight with commercial thinking, practical execution and remediation, based on his lived experience of running businesses in West Africa. His clients are typically facing critical or high-risk decisions, exposure to political, security or regulatory risk, underperforming or high-risk assets or unexpected losses, or major disruption to their business activities. Bringing clarity in complex situations, he combines direct, actionable recommendations with the ability to bridge strategy, risk, and reality on the ground.

Tim’s background is a unique combination of geopolitical analysis, extensive experience as a security and crisis management practitioner, and managing commercial success in a high-risk and volatile environment. He has successfully led us through multiple in-county crises, most notably the violence and breakdown in law and order after the #EndSARs protests.
Tim holds a BA in European Politics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in African Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies. He speaks regularly at industry events, conferences and association gatherings.
