Kathryn Fletcher is a Director within our Social Risks and Compliance team in Johannesburg, with a Europe, Middle East and Africa remit. She has 15 years’ professional experience in the public and private sectors and has worked on a wide range of social compliance projects for Control Risks. Kathryn specializes in working with local and international clients across all sectors to understand and manage risk exposure to social issues (such as social risks, labour rights and human rights) in their supply chains. She has spoken on many panels and published articles regarding risk management approaches to modern slavery risks.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Kathryn spent three years working for the UK government with a focus on Middle East investigations and legal research. Kathryn has a bachelor’s degree in German and European studies from Queen Mary, University of London, UK, and a master’s degree in international security and global governance from Birkbeck College, University of London. She also holds a certificate in Corporate Sustainability from NYU Stern.
