Emma is a forensic accountant and Associate Director in Control Risks’ forensic investigations practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Emma has experience managing fraud, anti-bribery, and corruption investigations as well as compliance advisory engagements across a broad range of geographies and sectors. 

Recent tasks that Emma has worked on include:

  • Third-party compliance audits in EMEA for a global technology company 
  • Investigation for an FTSE 100 company, which had whistleblower allegations of senior management misappropriating company funds through third party suppliers 
  • Investigation into contract breaches between a global FMCG company and their supplier 
  • Forensic accounting review for a global financial technology client subject to whistleblower allegations of fraud and round-tripping 
  • Investigation into several allegations, including bribery concerns, as part of a reputational review of an Eastern European company looking for investment opportunities 
  • Before joining Control Risks, Emma trained as an auditor and gained experience with both external and internal audit engagements before moving into forensics.  

    Emma is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA). She holds a first-class BA in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
