The successful candidate will play a leading role in delivering and developing Control Risks’ analysis of political, security, operational and macro-economic risks across Southeast Asia. They will also help drive Control Risks’ thematic and comparative analysis on the region as a whole. The role will involve providing expert advice to leading companies and organizations with operations or investments in South East Asia, with a heavy focus on clients with business in the Philippines and/or Indonesia. It will require close collaboration with Control Risks’ team of analysts, consultants and business developers. The role also requires daily delivery of Control Risks’ analytical subscription products for Southeast Asian countries. The successful candidate will have a strong, specialist academic and/or professional background (such as in a Southeast Asian government or a Southeast Asian company), ideally with professional experience in or closely related to the Philippines and/or Indonesia. Drawing on this experience to assist clients doing business in the countries will be critical, as is a strong aptitude for thinking and writing analytically, to a high standard and in a timely manner. The analyst will need to convey careful analytical judgments, and complex information, in a confident, persuasive and accessible manner to clients.
