Adlan Chaykin is a Senior Analyst in Control Risks’ cyber threat intelligence team in London, specialising in producing threat and risk assessments in the context of cyber security and geopolitics. Adlan has five years’ experience consulting public and private sector organisations in high-risk environments, leading complex threat monitoring engagements and supporting incident response teams.

Recent tasks that Adlan has worked on include:

  • Conducting CBEST threat assessments and cyber attack scenarios for several top-tier financial institutions, defence organisations and oil and gas companies.
  • Combining strategic, tactical and operational threat intelligence to build an intelligence fusion capability, integrating threat data into a client’s broader risk management process.
  • Delivering threat-led cyber security risk assessments and helping implement threat modelling and threat hunting capabilities in line with industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Providing country-specific analysis and threat monitoring for a government institution, an international sporting organisation and a multinational tech company ahead of major political and sporting events.
  • Adlan holds a CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA) qualification and is a certified Level 4 Data Analyst. Adlan holds an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London, and an undergraduate MA in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh. Adlan is fluent in English and Russian and speaks Arabic, Hebrew and French.
