Victor provides political, security and operational risk analysis on Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen. He produces pieces for Control Risks’ online subscription service and website and regularly delivers bespoke reports and briefings for clients across a wide range of industries. In particular, Victor supports clients looking to enter the Gulf region by analysing market entry risks pertaining to policymaking, contract and reputational issues.

Before joining Control Risks, Victor worked at IHS Markit (now S&P global) as an analyst and consultant focusing on oil markets, midstream and downstream projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Previously, Victor worked at AKE International, a political risk consultancy, where he focused on North Africa and the Levant.
Victor holds an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and Economics from McGill University. He has lived in the UAE, Oman, Egypt and Jordan and regularly travels in the region. Victor speaks French and Arabic.
