Tristan works as a senior analyst at Control Risk’s Paris office, where he is responsible for the coverage of issues related to terrorism and militancy within the Global Risk Analysis Sub-Saharan Africa desk. He also leads the monitoring and reporting for security and political trends in the Sahel region, as well as Control Risks tactical intelligence service for northern Mozambique, providing daily insights on security threats in Cabo Delgado to a range of clients.

Prior to joining Control Risks Tristan worked as the lead analyst for political and security risks in Sub-Saharan Africa for the Risk Advisory Group, a London based consultancy, where he focused on militancy and terrorism, including in Mozambique. He also worked for the International Crisis Group in Dakar, carrying out research of violent extremism in the Sahel. Tristan holds a master’s degree in political economy from King’s College London.
