Tope is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and producing intelligence reports and alerts for all elements of the company and clients. She assists with the planning and execution of projects through coordination of timely intelligence, information, and operational support as required to Control Risks’ global risks analysts and consultants in the region. Tope is also responsible for all external liaisons with government agencies where she maintains a strong network.

Recent tasks that Tope has worked on include:

  • Managed several intelligence services supports to client projects such as NGO (non-government organisations) and multinational companies working across the country by providing timely situational reports on incidents, security threats likely to impact clients’ projects, travel advisories and route assessments.
  • Deployment to an Election Observation Mission as security advisor for four months in Nigeria where she was responsible for all external security liaisons with NSA, Police, DSS and Immigration Service on behalf of the mission across the 36 states. She was responsible for advising the security expert and observers deployed to the 36 states on mission risk.
  • Country wide monitoring, analysis, and scenario forecasting of the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Nigerian presidential elections.
  • Before joining Control Risks, she worked with a risk consulting company in Nigeria where she manages the intelligence team. Tope holds a BSc in sociology with extensive security experience in Nigeria and a MA in Intelligence and Security from the University of Leicester, UK.
