Renna provides Control Risks’ clients with political and security analysis on West Africa, including Senegal, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire and Gabon. Renna worked in the Control Risks’ Dakar office for over two years before moving to Paris and has considerable knowledge of the region. She manages an extensive network of sources, helping organisations and companies to build resilience in a region where they face significant opportunities and challenges.

Before joining Control Risks, Renna worked for the International Crisis Group (ICG) in Dakar, an international conflict-prevention organisation covering political and security developments in the region, with a particular focus on the Sahel. She also has experience with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Renna holds a dual master's degree in International Security from Sciences Po, Paris, and in Conflict, Security, and Development from King’s College London. Her master’s thesis focused on Salafism in Senegal. She speaks English and French.
