Pranav Anand is an Associate Director for Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensic and Intelligence practice based in London, he was previously with Control Risks Dubai and prior to that, Control Risks India.
He has over 14 years of professional experience within the technology consulting and security risk industry. Pranav is an expert in digital forensics, cyber incident response, cyber investigations such as ransomware and business compromise. and electronic discovery where his skills have been key in leveraging technology to assist with investigations. These include the large-scale data collection of data from remote servers and custodian endpoint devices and the targeted review and acquisition of evidence from computer system.
Pranav has developed and implemented defensible methodologies and procedures for remote collection of data from custodian endpoint devices such as laptops, handheld devices – mobile phones, tablets. His technical expertise has helped develop bespoke tools for Control Risks’ forensic teams across the globe.

Lead the investigation for a cyber incident involving a ransomware attack and network breach for a UK Based client in the financial sector. The data for the investigation was collected remotely from over 20 servers and computers.
Conducted on-site collection of over 45 devices in the UAE and extracted over 800GB of data from the cloud for an eDiscovery project.
Leading the digital forensics element of a sensitive investigation of conflict of interest and quid pro quo pertaining to a senior executive of a large private bank in India.
Managed the collection of data from a large-scale shipping and logistics firm based in the UAE for sanctions led investigation. Due to data jurisdictional issues and confidentially reasons the data was kept locally in Dubai and strict custody of the data was maintained, with limited access. The review of the data was carried out on purpose-built workstations.
Primary digital forensics lead for a US FCPA driven investigation involving the seizure and forensic imaging from a large number of custodians based in Kenya.
Collected and secured data from CxO suite and staff for a shareholder lead internal investigation. This included data retrieval from archival systems. Additionally, conducted a digital forensic review of their activities prior to their departure.
Pranav is an EnCase Certified Examiner from Guidance Software and GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner as well as GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics expert.
