Based in Los Angeles, Lou is a Principal within Control Risks' Global Business and Partnerships group. In this role, Lou manages Control Risks' global relationships with key external technology partners, arming our expert team of consultants with the tools they need to continue delivering innovative, analytical and actionable work for our clients. Lou has over 20 years of experience developing technology-driven solutions for clients looking to enhance their incident response, threat intelligence, risk assessment, crisis management and business continuity capabilities.

Crisis Management technology implementation for a biotechnology company: Developed strategic crisis management plans, procedures, and exercises adapted to and taking full advantage of the organization’s chosen readiness and response technology platforms.
Business Continuity program development for a technology company: Performed a current state and needs assessment to determine the parameters, scope, and requirements for a business continuity program fitted to the origination's unique profile and culture. Managed the implementation and configuration of their chosen business continuity management platform.
COVID-19 response planning for a scientific research institution: Rapidly developed crisis management, pandemic response, and business continuity plans and playbooks to enable the institution to mount an early and organized response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Risk Assessment consulting for a large investment group: Developed a customized risk assessment methodology and utilized that methodology as part of a cross-disciplinary team of experts conducting on-site risk assessments to support a major investment decision. Identified ‘red flag’ risks requiring immediate mitigation and developed suggested controls to ensure acceptable residual risk.
Crisis Management consulting for a global technology infrastructure organization: Developed a crisis management program for a global organization facing unique technological and reputational risks. Worked with a cross-functional group of senior executives to validate and test the plan through an intensive crisis management workshop and exercise.
Prior to joining Control Risks, Lou managed the Aviation Analysis division of a travel intelligence and security firm.
