Gabriel has a focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and energy transition issues, contributing to Control Risks online monitoring services and conducting bespoke analysis for multinational clients.

Gabriel holds a BA in economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) and a MSc in international political economy from the University of São Paulo (Brazil). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)/ESG Investing. Prior to joining Control Risks, he worked on finance, management and government relations consulting projects across multiple sectors. In addition to his native Portuguese, Gabriel is also fluent in English and Spanish and has some basic knowledge of French.
