Ben is a Director at Control Risks and leader of the embedded consulting practice within EMEA. He is based in Control Risks’ London Office. He is responsible for overseeing and managing the team that delivers embedded consulting across the EMEA region.
This role spans numerous professional disciplines, from establishing and overseeing GSOC support, through the oversight of global programmatic delivery in investigations and geopolitical analysis, to the provision of protective security in high-risk locations.
Across a range of jurisdictions, from Continental Europe to the Gulf States and Africa, Ben leads the deployment of subject matter experts and ensures the seamless integration of individual experts and teams into our clients' businesses.
Ben has spent 20 years in the risk consulting sector in the Americas, South Asia and EMEA and leverages this experience to help our clients capture commercial opportunity while managing strategic and operational risks worldwide.
Prior to joining Control Risks Ben spent seven years in the military as a Commissioned Officer with the Intelligence Corps where he undertook a variety of roles, including three years as the chief of intelligence for UK Special Forces in Afghanistan. During his time with the military Ben also served in Iraq and conducted short-term postings in various parts of South Asia and the Americas. Ben was educated at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Defence Intelligence and Security Centre. Prior to joining the Army, he completed an undergraduate Degree in History at Balliol College, Oxford.
