Anupriya is an Associate Analyst for Control Risks’ political risk consulting practice, supporting clients across sectors navigate geopolitical, regulatory and operational risks. She produces regular analytical updates for Control Risks' online subscription services on the impact of key political, social and regulatory developments, and provides clients with tailored consulting products.  

Recent projects that Anupriya has worked on include:

  • Developing 2024 US election scenarios and triggers, as well as conducting ongoing monitoring to help companies assess their resulting regulatory, reputational and political risk exposure to the region 
  • Assisting a Japanese firm understand how an investment in critical minerals in California could be impacted by geopolitical trends, state-level climate goals, tribal sovereignty and county dynamics 
  • Ongoing advisory work on climate and housing access legislation and tenant activism at the US federal, state and local levels for a real estate company 
  • Prior to joining Control Risks, Anupriya worked at a leading political risk consultancy, where she focused on technology, consulting, foundation, and international development clients. While there, she served as the data lead for the Atlas of Impunity released in conjunction with the International Rescue Committee. Before this role, she was a research fellow at a boutique global risk advisory firm.  

    Anupriya holds a Master of Public Policy with specialisation in international policy and global conflict studies from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Pomona College.  

    She speaks Bengali, Hindi and advanced Spanish.
