Özgecan is a consultant in Control Risks’ business intelligence and due diligence practice based in London. A native Turkish speaker with over six years of jurisdictional experience, Özgecan supports clients with their decision-making processes regarding the Turkish and the UK market, through reputational due diligence and business intelligence investigations. Özgecan’s work includes business intelligence, litigation support matters and investigative due diligence, with a focus on reputational and integrity risks.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Özgecan was an analyst at a London-based boutique consultancy, advising government clients through due diligence services. Prior to this, Özgecan was a field associate at the Istanbul field office of the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNHCR), where she managed the monitoring and evaluation efforts of cash-based programmes across Turkey.
Özgecan has a BA in International Relations and a BA in Sociology from Koç University, and obtained a MPhil in Sociology from the University of Cambridge.
