Mark Fawcett is a Director in Control Risks’ Digital Risks team and is Head of Digital Risks Response in EMEA. He also assists in delivering crisis management training for both technical and non-technical senior management.
Mark has experience in cyber crisis management and regularly works with clients to prepare for and respond to cyber-attacks. Mark has led the crisis management and recovery operations across multiple sectors and technologies. He has expertise in coordinating experts in cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, legal, communications and public relations. Mark also has a significant amount of experience in providing recommendations to remediate controls that are tailored to clients’ risk appetite.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Mark was a Technology Resilience specialist at Ernst & Young providing advisory services to global Financial Services firms on how to prevent, react and learn from crisis. He has experience in providing controls assurance and post incident reviews for complex economic impacting incidents with clients classed as European Critical infrastructure. Mark supported these clients in understanding the causes of incidents and providing short, medium and long term roadmaps to not only recover operations but optimise as well.
Mark studied Computer Science at The University of Birmingham.
