José Bevilacqua is a Principal in Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence department for the Americas region, based in São Paulo, Brazil. He leads the Technology Consulting practice in South America and has over 15 years of professional experience in investigations, advising Brazilian and multinational companies in matters related to forensic technology.

Before joining Control Risks, José was a senior manager at one of the Big Four companies in Brazil, where he was responsible for managing the forensic technology practice and conducting various multinational engagements, as the Latin American hub for projects of this nature. Previously, José worked at another Big Four company in Brazil as an associate manager performing several projects for both national and international clients, focused on technology-based investigations and support for large-scale engagements.
José has a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, Brazil. He is also an EnCase Certified Examiner, a Nuix Certified Professional and a RelativityOne Certified Pro. José is a native Portuguese speaker and is fluent in English.
