James is a Partner in Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting practice.

Based in Singapore, he leads operational security delivery across the region, including protective services and outsourced risk management. An expert in crisis management, James works with clients to plan and implement tailored solutions to secure staff, sites and company reputation.

Recent tasks that James has worked on include:

  • Creating an industry first integrated model, partnering with a large Corporate Real Estate company to provide best in class security management to global MNCs 
  • Delivering short-notice protective services to high-net-worth individuals throughout the region
  • Overseeing a contingent workforce of over 100 individuals with specialisations ranging from crisis management and business continuity, to strategic intelligence and anti-money laundering
  • Providing support and advice to clients operating in volatile environments in South and South East Asia

Before joining Control Risks, James spent over a decade in the Australian Army. He then led a 24/7 intelligence and operations team covering the region.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics, along with qualifications in intelligence and public safety.
