Aryaman Bhatnagar is a Senior Analyst in the Global Risk Analysis practice of Control Risks. Based in the Delhi office, he works on political, economic, security and regulatory developments in the South Asia region, particularly India and Bangladesh, contributing towards bespoke consulting projects.

Before joining Control Risks, Aryaman worked as a foreign policy, security and political analyst for more than a decade with some of the leading think tanks in New Delhi and Berlin. He was the German Chancellor Fellow, an award granted by the German Chancellery, German Foreign Office and Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung, for 2018-2019 and in that capacity spent 18 months in Berlin researching on Germany’s policy towards India and Afghanistan. His writings have appeared in World Politics Review, The Diplomat, Global Policy Journal, The Indian Express and Hindustan Times, among other national and international publications and was also a regular contributor to some of the leading global risk consultancies.
He holds a Masters degree in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Delhi.
