Control Risks was directly engaged by an Olympic Authority as its strategic risk and resilience advisor for the successful delivery of a Games.
Our solution
We developed and implemented a comprehensive Games-wide security risk management plan. The project was based on a detailed threat and risk assessment that was used to accurately inform and implement the recommendations. As part of the plan, Control Risks worked with numerous stakeholders to develop a crisis management team and plan, as well as develop and run the crisis emergency control centre. In the lead-up to the four-week event, Control Risks developed and tested numerous crisis exercises. We also embedded risk and resilience consultants within the Olympic Authority to oversee the project as well as manage and triage incidences across various emergency authorities, governmental bodies and commercial stakeholders.
