I was contacted by a recruiter about an opportunity at Control Risks. Their strong reputation and the kind of services they provide meant I was instantly interested. The recruiting process consisted of three/four phone interviews (during the pandemic). One thing that stood out during the process was the people. Everyone was knowledgeable, down to earth, and helped give me the information I needed to feel comfortable about joining. I am grateful to my line manager for giving me this opportunity.

I joined Control Risks more than three years ago and I still relish the opportunity to work here and be responsible for a team. I enjoy people management, the freedom of the working environment and exposure to people from different backgrounds and cultures worldwide. I am passionate about getting the most out of each person on my team and helping them develop professionally.

I have two bachelor's degrees in accounting and business administration and recently completed an MBA in Business Management, Controllership and Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Control Risks I worked for three big companies in Instrumentation and Biotechnology products, Luxury Retail and Consulting Services.

Three big milestones in my life have been living abroad for one year in Canada to improve my English skills; when I was younger, I was a professional soccer player for a well-known team in Brazil (Corinthians); and my wedding. My wife and I are building a wonderful life together, and a dream home. As parents of elderly pets, we don’t travel as much as we would like to, but we know that we will eventually.
