Virginia Porter is a Senior Risk Consultant in Control Risks ONE Global Risk and Operations Centre (EMEA). She has experience conducting in-depth research and analysis on a wide variety of regions and thematics. Some of her specialities include mapping, imagery analysis, open source, and signals analysis.
Virginia is an experienced all-source intelligence analyst focused on Ukraine and Ethiopia, fusing multiple data streams in the creation of reports and recommendations for high-level clients. Prior to that she produced remote research and analysis with a focus on early warning and action in the face of mass atrocities and conflict updates. She has worked for NATO and UN research centres, a private security company, a private investigations company and a global security think tank.
Virginia holds a BA (Hons) in Russian with Spanish from the University of Exeter, an MA in International Security from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and is certified in Arc GIS Pro.
She speaks fluent English and Italian, proficient Spanish and intermediate French and Russian.
