Stina Connor is an analyst in Control Risks’ Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team, based in Copenhagen. Stina specialises in strategic cyber threat intelligence for our Nordic clients and provides regular analysis of cyber threat incidents and trends to our clients. Prior to joining CTI, Stina worked in Control Risks’ geopolitical and country risk analysis team, responsible for our political and security analysis for the Nordic region and Eastern Europe.
Recent engagements that Stina has worked on include:
- An assessment of information security and cyber threats to business development activities and senior executives at a Scandinavian defence company.
- Executive briefings on the global cyber threat landscape and trends for several major Scandinavian companies across several industries, including manufacturing, energy, maritime and telecommunications sectors.
- An in-depth security threat and online exposure assessment for a multinational technology company with operations in Sweden and the Nordic region, to inform their security planning.
- Managing a multi-country threat assessment and benchmarking for a large Japanese extractive company, to support their business development activity and overseas expansion strategy.
Before joining Control Risks, Stina was a senior fellow at a foreign policy think tank based in London, where she managed the unit responsible for policy output. She previously undertook an internship at the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm (Sweden), where she provided research assistance on several projects focused on political and security issues in the Baltic Sea region, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Stina holds a Master of Arts in International Peace and Security from King’s College London and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Uppsala University (Sweden). In addition to her native Swedish, she has a working knowledge of other Scandinavian languages. Stina has lived and travelled extensively in the Nordic region and is deeply familiar with the political, security and cyber threat landscape there.
