She has over 20 years’ experience of working with government and private organisations to help them understand how geopolitical and country risk may impact their corporate or portfolio strategy, how to find opportunity amid uncertainty, and how to build resilient organisations that can succeed in the face of adversity. Her key clients include government and semi-government entities, sovereign wealth funds, private equity, energy and infrastructure.

Formed by early life under a totalitarian regime, Sorana has worked in both emerging and developed markets. She brings a balanced, multiregional perspective to geopolitical risk – helping clients to interpret events through diverse political, economic and cultural lenses. A regular speaker at global and regional conferences, she is often quoted in media such as Reuters, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, BBC and Forbes.
Sorana holds an International Risk Management Certificate from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, both with distinction. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Economic Relations from two universities in Bucharest and a postgraduate certificate from the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena in Germany. She speaks English and Romanian fluently, as well as some German and French.
