Sara is the regional lead for Online Threat Intelligence (OTI) in the Americas. Based in Washington, DC, Sara leads the OTI practice in the US and manages projects and client engagements, focusing on bespoke online threat monitoring, online executive protection and person of interest (POI) assessments. She also conducts research on open sources, social media platforms and deep and dark web venues.

Recent tasks that Sara has worked on include:

Managing and delivering weekly online monitoring and threat assessment reports for a large multinational tech company, focusing on identifying potential physical actions aimed at disrupting the client’s work and disclosure of sensitive information.

Leading a team of analysts in assessing the level of threat to and online exposure of board members of a high-profile, non-profit organization.

Providing online threat monitoring and triaging potential POIs for a technology company’s security team during a surge of hostile online chatter directed at the company and its employees.

Prior to joining our OTI team, Sara led Control Risks’ dedicated threat intelligence program in the US. In this role, she managed a 24/7 threat intelligence program focused on identifying and assessing POIs.

Sara holds dual bachelor’s degrees in international relations and Spanish from the American University in Washington, DC. Sara is fluent in both English and Spanish.
