Robert Boyd is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Businesses & Partnerships. He has responsibility for a number of globally-structured businesses within the Group, including the extortive crime focused Response practice, the Membership team and Vantage, our fast-growing third party risk & compliance solutions practice. Robert also leads on our engagement with key external partners such as Hiscox, Oxford Economics and, most recently, Seerist.  He sits on the Board and the Executive Committee.

Robert has worked in the industry for 25 years, with extensive experience of working across Europe, Africa and Asia. He works closely with clients across a range of risks, but with a particular focus on compliance and on the provision of intelligence and analysis in support of investments. Robert has spent 12 of his 20 years with Control Risks based in Singapore, most recently as the CEO for Asia Pacific, leading Control Risks through a period of significant expansion in the region. Before moving to Asia in 2009, Robert was based in the London office and worked in various leadership roles focused on political risk, compliance due diligence and investment support business intelligence.  

Robert joined Control Risks in 2002, prior to which he worked as a case manager at Kroll and Risk Advisory Group after brief stints as a journalist at The Times and with De Beers in Angola. With a degree in modern languages from the University of Bristol, he speaks Italian and French, and reads Portuguese.
