Robert Boyd is the Chief Executive Officer of Control Risks in Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the company’s operations and continued development in the region, including its offices in Beijing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. He sits on Control Risks’ Executive Committee.

Robert Boyd is the Chief Executive Officer of Control Risks in Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the company’s operations and continued development in the region, including its offices in Beijing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. He sits on Control Risks’ Executive Committee.

Robert’s previous role was as a Senior Partner and the head of Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence practice in Europe & Africa.  He was responsible for all aspects of the integrity risk services delivered in the region, including business intelligence, due diligence, compliance consulting, forensic investigations and litigation support. In this role, Robert managed more than 70 consultants working for clients across the region, with teams permanently located in our London, Moscow, Amsterdam, Berlin, Nairobi, Lagos and Johannesburg offices.

From 2009 to 2016, Robert worked in Asia Pacific out of the Control Risks regional headquarters in Singapore: initially as Managing Director for South-East Asia, responsible for all consulting engagements undertaken in ASEAN and managing Control Risks’ offices in Singapore and Jakarta, then as the head of Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence practice in the region.

Before moving to Asia in 2009, Robert was based in the Control Risks’ London office for seven years: initially setting up the Financial Services practice and running the Western Europe team, specialising in compliance due diligence and investment support business intelligence; latterly as the Managing Director of political risk analysis.

Robert joined Control Risks in 2002 after five years as a case manager at Kroll and Risk Advisory Group and brief stints as a journalist on The Times and with De Beers in Angola. Robert has a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Hons) in modern languages from the University of Bristol. He speaks Italian and French, and reads Portuguese.
