Lucas Zupolini is a Sustainability and Climate Consultant within Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team based in São Paulo. He focuses on socioenvironmental due diligence, as well as transactional advisory and consulting services, to help companies mitigate physical and transitional risks in rapidly changing political, regulatory and environmental landscapes. Lucas also contributes to Control Risks and Seerist’s online subscription service on ESG-related topics in Brazil and the Southern Cone.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Lucas worked as an environmental consultant for the mining, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, and financial sectors.
Lucas holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and is currently pursuing a second Bachelor of Science in economics, both from the University of São Paulo. He has also studied abroad at Hokkaido University (Japan), the University of Auckland (New Zealand) and the University of Sydney (Australia), where he conducted research on ecology and climate change. Lucas is fluent in Portuguese and English, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
