Liam Thomas is a Senior Operations Manager in Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consultancy (CSC), specialising in global crisis operations. He is a risk and security professional with experience supporting and strategically advising North American and European energy infrastructure companies, and non-profit organisations on security risk management planning, emergency management and business continuity preparedness.
Liam's current role involves a multifaceted approach to expanding the global evacuation and critical incident response programme. Simultaneously, Liam enhances third-party global provider compliance and bolsters client support capabilities.

Before joining Control Risks, Liam led security teams on a variety of energy projects, including acting as Corporate Security Lead for an offshore gas pipeline and as Project Security Manager for an energy services company. Prior to this, Liam spent 10 years in the British Army serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Liam holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Lincoln and an FdA in Security Management and Consultancy from Leeds Beckett University. He is fluent in Spanish.
