Alison is an Associate Director in Control Risks’ Business Intelligence practice. Alison covers the US and Canada and is based in Texas. She specializes in conducting open-source intelligence collection and analysis, complex threat assessments, a variety of online investigations and advising clients on a wide range of security and privacy issues.

Recent tasks that Alison has worked on include:

  • Managing an international due diligence effort on numerous companies, subsidiaries and key executives to identify and help the a global technology company understand legal, regulatory, financial and reputational risks. 
  • Managing numerous person-of-interest investigations for a large international company. 
  • Leading an online exposure audit of a high-profile and ultra-high-net-worth executive and founder in the tech industry to assess threats to physical safety, security, online privacy and reputation.
  • Prior to Control Risks, Alison was a senior associate at a security consulting company in the Washington DC area, where she served as a project manager and researched and composed a suite of security, privacy and cyber-related reports for clients in various industries, including technology, media, and consulting. 

    Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in government from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in global politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Alison has certifications in threat, vulnerability and risk assessment and online cyber investigations. She is a mentor at Girl Security and a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and ASIS International.
