Michael D’Angelo serves as the lead investigator and established complex financial analysis capabilities across our US and Latin American teams, including streamlining of evidence tracking system. He establishes security plans for clients in relation to their digital footprint and corporate digital exposure, as well as Latin American clients responding to government inquiries, demands and investigations.

Recent tasks that Michael has worked on include:

  • Collected digital evidence from a wide variety of data sources for E-Discovery and forensic examination projects including personal computer, mobile devices, cloud storage, email, proprietary document management systems, network-based storage, and legacy equipment.
  • Collected and analyzed digital evidence for projects that span a large spectrum of industries including healthcare providers, insurance companies, multi-national banks, telecommunication providers, professional sports franchises, social networking corporations, Fortune 500 Companies, law enforcement and government agencies.
  • Managed multiple teams on projects investigating intellectual property theft, wrongful termination, insider trading, mergers/acquisitions, data remediation, and FCC matters.

    Most recently, Michael built and managed a department that provided advanced forensics services in eDiscovery. He served as a Lead Forensic Investigator, where he developed and oversaw compliance with departmental policies, implemented quality control and skills programs, selected and managed department deployment of forensics software, directed forensics lab procedures, trained staff, and developed bespoke client solutions. He also served as the lead on advanced forensics matters, including testimony in court. In 2019, he launched a proprietary remote collections solution for desktops, laptops, servers, cloud accounts, corporate networks and Apple devices to allow for full forensic imaging of devices across the globe. He regularly interfaces with clients to develop best practices for information management, which promotes the impact of technology to enhance discovery process and forensic investigations.

    Michael has his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Criminal Justice and Law, as well as his Associate of Science (A.S.) Information Security from Pace University. From the University of Maryland, he has his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science (M.S.) Computer Forensics & Digital Investigations.
