Kelly Garcia is a Principal at Control Risks and is based in New York, where she is responsible for the legal market in the US and Canada. Kelly is a valuable member of Control Risks’ client management function, contributing to a diverse team that focuses on supporting our largest accounts, acquiring new business and managing bids for large and complex projects. 

With nearly two decades of experience, Kelly has established a strong track record working with renowned professional services networks, including three of the Big Four. She specializes in developing and implementing high-level strategic initiatives in the New York tristate area and beyond. 

Recent tasks that Kelly has worked on include:

  • Collaborating with senior leadership at a major Fortune 500 company, overseeing cross-functional teams to design and execute cutting-edge legal operations strategies.
  • Partnering with C-level executives at a prominent global digital technology company to contribute to the development of client-focused initiatives aimed at enhancing key legal and compliance operations.
  • Managing the proposal, delivery and execution of a global information governance program for a major financial institution on behalf of a global law firm, facilitating integrated operational effectiveness across the legal and compliance areas. 

  • Before joining Control Risks, Kelly served as the tristate legal channel leader for one of the world’s leading consultancy firms. In this role, she played a pivotal role in designing the growth strategy for the firm’s forensic and integrity services practices. Kelly's previous positions include senior business development roles at two other global consultancy brands and major global law firms in New York. She holds a degree in marketing and is a certified executive coach.
