Emil Thor Wilson is a Senior Risk Consultant at Control Risks ONE, Global Risk and Operations Centre (EMEA). He is a security management and crisis response professional in the security and investigations sector, with several years of analytical experience of high-risk geopolitical areas.
Emil has extensive analytical and response experience across numerous regions and topics, including war risks, kidnap-for-ransom, maritime security and piracy, extortion, and civil unrest. Operationally, Emil has deployed to several high-risk areas in Ukraine and East Africa to provide on-the-ground support to client business operations including intelligence and analysis in addition to project lead. He has also provided long-distance support for political and medical evacuations to clients in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. Emil has regularly briefed C-Suite level clients with information used at the decision-making level for their assets and operations in high-risk areas.

Emil holds a Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies from The Elliot School of International Affairs at the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Kings College London.
He is currently completing his Certified Security Management Program (CSMP) and has also completed a First Response Emergency Care (FREC Level 3) course. In addition to English, Emil is fluent in Swedish, proficient in Norwegian and Danish, moderate in French and a beginner in Swahili.
