Damon Brenner is a Partner for Control Risks’ Client Management function and is the Market Director for the United States Central region. Based out of Houston, Damon is responsible for developing business, managing client relationships, and running a variety of global consulting engagements for US-based multinational companies and organizations. These engagements include political risk assessments, investigations, and crisis management tasks. 

Recent tasks that Damon has worked on include:

  • Assisting a multi-national company in the development of its anti-corruption and compliance program. Damon worked with senior executives to help implement a program to deal effectively with anti-corruption legislative requirements and compliance risks across the client’s ever-widening global footprint.
  • Providing an outsourced solution for a manufacturing company needing to establish an analytical and intelligence capability for its global operations. The dedicated analysts provide daily threat analysis services, reinforcing the client’s security program by identifying and analyzing political, social and security threats to the client’s people and operations around the world.
  • Working with a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in the development and successful global roll-out of its crisis management program, including workshops and training at multiple client sites.

  • Prior to joining Control Risks, Damon spent four years developing travel programs and conducting sight inspections for INTRAV, Inc., a US-based luxury tour operator. He advised clients on travel to numerous locations around the world. During this time Damon traveled to nearly 60 countries.

    Damon has a bachelor’s degree in European History from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master’s degree in International Economic Policy from American University in Washington, D.C.
