Catherine Marinis-Yaqub is a Principal in Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting practice based in New York. Catherine oversees key client relationships in the risk and business resilience arena including crisis management, business continuity, security risk management, strategic risk analysis and insider risk. She works with Control Risks’ multidisciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class insider risk services, specializing in intellectual and critical asset protection.

Catherine spent 11 years in US federal service conducting global national security operations as an Operations Officer for the CIA and DIA, and as an Intelligence Analyst at the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. Prior to joining Control Risks, Catherine served in advisory roles at boutique consultancies and at PwC, Deloitte, and BearingPoint as a management consultant to IC clients. While at PwC, Catherine worked in the Anti-Corruption and Corporate Intelligence practice, providing due diligence services to the Fortune500.
She holds a Master in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service and Bachelors in Political Science and International Relations from Florida State University. Catherine has an Insider Vulnerability Assessor Certification from Carnegie Mellon University’s CERT Program and speaks Greek and French.
