Camila de la Parra is a Researcher for Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team, and is based in Mexico City. As part of her role, she delivers political and security risk analysis for Control Risks’ online services and conducts research to support a wide range of consultancy projects across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Recent tasks that Camila has worked on include:

  • Carrying out a cargo theft assessment to map key criminal dynamics across Mexico’s high-risk routes and states for a company in the alcoholic beverage sector.
  • Preparing weekly reports on the security and geopolitical environment in Mexico for an oil and gas company.
  • Conducting threat overviews for two mining companies seeking to expand their operations into the Mexican states of Sonora, Durango and Zacatecas.

  • Prior to her current role, she worked as an intern for Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team in Mexico City. Camila holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). In addition to her native Spanish, she speaks fluent English and has basic knowledge of French.
