Brian Cooke is a Principal in Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting team, based in North America.

With over 25 years of experience across public and private sectors, Brian advises clients on security program development and implementation, strategic and operational intelligence and protective security operations.

Recent tasks that Brian has worked on include:

  • Designing and implementing a global strategic risk intelligence program for a multinational energy company
  • Leading the planning and delivery of protective services for executives and high-net-worth individuals, travelling to high-risk locations, while building holistic security programs
  • Developing an enterprise-wide travel risk management programs for a global corporation
  • Developing crisis management strategies and leading tabletop exercises for multinational clients

Before joining Control Risks, Brian led global intelligence and international security operations for a Fortune 25 company. Prior to that, he served in the United States Marine Corps, and held roles as a Special Agent and Regional Security Officer with the US Department of State.

He is a trusted advisor to clients across the energy, technology, financial and manufacturing sectors, with extensive experience operating throughout Latin America.

Brian holds a BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accredited by American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International.

He is bilingual in Spanish and English.
