Aaron is a Principal who leads our kidnap-for-ransom and extortion (KFRE) preparedness practice in the US. He advises public and private companies, universities, think tanks, research organizations and NGOs on managing the risks of sending people to high-risk environments. His work also spans crisis management and physical security, with a particular focus on training and assessments for executives, security professionals and risk managers.
Aaron and his team provide both strategic and operational support, ranging from tactical security guidance for teams on the ground to strengthening standards of duty of care. He works closely with clients to develop tailored crisis management plans, facilitate scenarios designed to mature crisis capabilities, and prepare leaders to navigate high-impact incidents with confidence.
Aaron has a MA in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, SAIS, and a BA in Latin American and International Studies from Yale University. He is certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRCP) and in Physical Security (PSP). Aaron speaks Spanish and is proficient in Portuguese and French.
