Justin is a Partner and Director of Equipment Support within our High-Risk Managed Services (HRMS) practice. He is responsible for the through life management of the business’s equipment holdings, on behalf of HRMS’ operations globally. He provides subject matter expertise across our client portfolio drawn from the diplomatic, energy and development sectors for equipment support and procurement - with a speciality in covert armoured vehicles. 

Examples of Justin’s recent work include:

  • Consulting for a large Diplomatic project in Iraq, including in service vehicle inspection and development of future capability and equipment care.
  • Change and thought leadership with HRMS in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic, restructuring organisational equipment and fleet and communication capabilities based on competency-based design and specification.
  • Consulted for a large International Oil Company designing and implementing an inspection and refurbishment programme for their civilian armoured vehicle fleet.
  • Consulted for a large International Oil Company in West Africa, carrying out an emergency vehicle fleet inspection due to persistent fleet wide failures. Developed failure analysis report(s) and subsequent corrective actions and maintenance regime to prevent further lost time incidents.
  • Before joining Control Risks Justin enjoyed a successful career in the British Army as a vehicle artificer in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. This included operational deployments across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South America. Justin was awarded the MBE in 2010 for technical expertise and outstanding service contribution to the UK’s Special Forces Group.

    Justin is an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and member of the Society of Operations Engineers, holding a higher national diploma (HND) in automotive engineering.
