Chris is a Partner and Global Head of Advisory & Risk Consulting, based in London.

A recognised subject matter expert across security, risk and resilience, he has nearly 30 years’ experience helping senior leaders understand complex risks and make better decisions in conditions of uncertainty. He works across multiple sectors, advising multinational companies, insurers and governments, particularly where geopolitics, security and organisational resilience intersect.

Clients typically engage with Chris when potential risk consequences are high and confidence in available information is low. He helps senior leaders understand their exposure, make proportionate decisions, and identify pragmatic resolutions to complex problems. Often, he addresses issues involving both security risk treatment and risk transfer.

Recent engagements include:

  • Advising a global media organisation on the management of security risks across their operations in complex environments.
  • Supporting a government’s decision making in response to a novel, high-consequence risk.
  • Assisting a major financial services institution with its response to a terrorist incident.

Chris brings a combination of operational, commercial and strategic experience. His career spans international operations as a British Army bomb disposal officer, founding and leading a specialist security risk insurance company, and senior advisory roles. This gives him a distinctive perspective on how organisations understand and manage risk. His approach is grounded in evidence, proportionate judgement, and a clear understanding of the commercial context in which senior leaders make decisions.

He is a Principal level General Security Advisor on the UK Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES).
