As a Senior Partner of an international professional services firm prepared to appear as a witness in a sensitive case, concerns began to escalate. The organization had reason to believe an organized criminal group could attempt to intimidate or harass him, raising major risks to the individual’s safety and the integrity of the proceedings about to start.
Defining threats before escalation
A discreet, intelligence-led approach was critical. Control Risks worked with the client to rapidly assess the threat environment, evaluating both the intent and capability of potential adversaries. At the same time, we conducted a detailed exposure assessment, mapping the personal and professional information available online that could be used to target or track the individual.

- Discreet monitoring within venues to maintain real-time situational awareness
- Covert counter-surveillance at the individual’s home to detect any hostile activity early.
Throughout, the focus remained on enabling the Senior Partner to proceed with confidence and without disruption. The programme provided visibility of the risk environment and the ability to respond rapidly to any escalation.
