Angiolo is an Associate in the Crisis and Security Consulting practice in the Middle East. He advises a broad range of clients on their corporate security, enterprise risk management, and resilience requirements, including government, financial services, oil and gas, energy, retail, leisure and hospitality.  

Recent tasks that Angiolo has worked on include:

  • Working on behalf of a financial regulator, planned and designed a market-wide (cyber) crisis simulation involving seventeen financial services firms to strengthen cyber resilience across the Dubai International Financial Center. 
  • Advised a multinational retailer on accelerating their preparations for an escalation in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, by developing contingency plans for a series of worst-case scenarios.
  • Designed and established an enterprise risk, crisis management and business continuity capability for a high-profile government organisation linked to the Royal Courts in Saudi Arabia.  
  • Prepared an expert witness report examining a US multinational’s duty of care obligations in respect of travel security and protective security arrangements in the Middle East as part of its defense in a civil lawsuit.  
  • Led an enterprise risk assessment for a financial technology company to identify the strategic, market, technological, and operational risks that would affect their ability to achieve their strategic objectives over a five-year time horizon.  

  • Angiolo has worked in risk management consulting since 2005. Before joining Control Risks, he spent five years at a UK-based risk management firm focused on the public health sector, where he managed a range of consulting projects for healthcare organisations across the UK. Angiolo holds an international diploma from the Cape University of Technology, South Africa; a professional certificate in ERM from the Institute of Risk Management (UK); and a master’s degree in risk management from Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK. Angiolo has also undertaken executive education on leadership in crisis management from INSEAD.
