Imogen is a Non-Executive Director at Control Risks.
Before Control Risks, Imogen served as an Independent Non-Executive at Grant Thornton UK before becoming Chair of the UK company. Following private equity investment, she remains on the Board and also chairs the Audit Oversight Board. She currently manages a portfolio of Non-Executive roles, including Chair of Envetec (an Irish-based biotech business), Senior Independent Director (SID) and Remuneration Chair at SThree plc and XPS plc.
After graduating from Exeter University in 1982 with a BA in Arabic and Islamic Studies, Imogen entered the emerging fintech sector in the City of London. She went on to hold commercial leadership roles at the Financial Times Group, the London Stock Exchange Group, and S&P Global, spending four years as President of S&P Capital IQ and then S&P Platts.
Her transition to a portfolio career in 2015 allowed her to focus on key areas of interest and expertise, including commercial success, customer and colleague experience, M&A strategy and execution as well as structuring businesses for global growth.
She is a mentor for the Open Private School, an organisation focused on removing barriers to progression through social mobility. She also runs a charity, which aims to alleviate child poverty in rural areas. She received the British Empire Medal for her work in 2024.
