Control Risks provided tailored protective services and rapid threat response to multiple companies looking to evacuate from Israel following large-scale missile strikes.

As tensions escalated between Iran and Israel, large-scale missile strikes hit urban and residential areas, causing casualties, upending transport systems, and plunging the region into an escalating state of high alert.

Fears of a wider war and further strikes posed an immediate threat to the life and security of many. A number of companies looked to Control Risks’ operational and protective security services to deliver safe, secure and tailored evacuation solutions for their staff.

Volatile environments call for speed and precision

When Israel launched its airstrikes campaign targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, Iran responded with waves of ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities, including Haifa and Tel Aviv. Israeli airspace became highly restricted, and the resulting travel barriers required multi-layered solutions for clients looking to evacuate.

Our Israel-based team executed rapid evacuations under extreme conditions, providing real-time, on-the-ground developments and deploying cross-functional teams of security experts, crisis coordinators, and logistics specialists.

Coordination teams were supported by our geopolitical risk experts and the Control Risks ONE Global Risk and Operations Centre (G-ROC) to ensure movements and decision-making were made with real-time intelligence and a steady hand in a rapidly evolving crisis.

Rapid mobilisation

In Haifa, our client’s service engineers, who were trapped in a hotel bomb shelter and endured up to 15 missile strikes in 12 hours, required immediate evacuation.

Within 30 minutes of initial contact, our evacuation coordinator convened a crisis call with the client’s leadership, outlined evacuation routes, and Amman, Jordan was selected as the preferred destination for its operational viability.

Within five hours, our logistics team secured assembly areas, transport and departure points. The engineers departed via Queen Alia International Airport the next day.

Support for a larger team

Control Risks also facilitated the evacuation of a 20-member multinational team from Haifa, guiding them through the Yitzhak Rabin/Wadi border crossing and onward to Amman, Jordan. Working closely with local partners, we delivered comprehensive logistical support, covering journey management, the provision of armoured vehicles, welfare stop coordination, visa processing, and continuous assistance until the very last evacuee departed.

High-profile personnel evacuation

In Tel Aviv, a client sought Control Risks’ Protective Services for the escort and evacuation of their Chief Information Officer (CIO), who opted for a land route evacuation to Sharm el-Sheik via the Taba border crossing.

Our experts conducted a pre-departure safety briefing, provided a B6-armoured vehicle the following morning, and continuously tracked the CIO’s seven-hour journey until their safe arrival.

Certainty is possible

An evacuation demands precision, foresight, and calm under pressure. Control Risks delivered all three, ensuring safe passage for every individual, no matter the complexity.

Across all the evacuations, speed of action was key from the moment we were contacted. Our team provided fast, coordinated responses with the most appropriate evacuations available. Critical to each was our access to on-the-ground intelligence and close coordination with trusted local partners.

In a moment of geopolitical crisis, Control Risks provided certainty.
