Yara Slim is a Senior Compliance Consultant with Control Risks’ global third-party risk management solutions team, VANTAGE. She supports clients in designing, implementing, and improving their third-party risk programmes. Yara leads our VANTAGE Managed Services department that operates clients’ third parties on their behalf, tailoring their risk assessment and mitigation plans to their policies and risk profile.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Yara served as an in-house compliance officer at French nuclear state company Orano, where she implemented and improved the group’s anti-bribery and corruption programme. She has extensive experience delivering AML and sanctions reviews, complex due diligence, business intelligence, litigation support, asset trace and regulatory consulting for a wide range of clients.
Yara speaks fluent French, Arabic and English and gained further experience at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut and the International Crisis Group in Brussels, where her work focused on the on-going regional crises in the Middle East and North Africa.
