Valeria is a Senior Analyst on Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team based in Mexico City. As part of her role, Valeria provides political, operational, social and security risk analysis on Central America. She produces regular updates for Control Risks’ online subscription services, as well as bespoke consultancy projects for clients with footprints in Central America.

Before joining Control Risks, Valeria worked as a freelance political and economic risk analyst, where she focused on research and analysis of political issues in Latin America and Central America. Valeria holds a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from the University of Navarra and a Master of Science in geopolitics and strategic studies from the University Carlos III of Madrid. In addition to her native Spanish, she speaks fluent English and has basic knowledge of Mandarin.
