Sophie Seidner is an Associate Director in Control Risks' Crisis Security Consulting team.
Based in Cincinnati, she focuses on delivering design-integrated security risk management solutions and leading complex global programs to mitigate security risks.
Recent tasks that Sophie has worked on include:
- Leading an enterprise-wide security risk management and assurance program for a global technology leader's international data center infrastructure, overseeing more than 280 on-site security and risk assessments across regions.
- Driving a global security transformation for a major US-based technology innovator, developing and implementing risk management frameworks and design standards across over 500 retail stores in over 25 countries.
- Designing a security strategy masterplan for a heritage hotel development in Saudi Arabia, integrating security measures into architectural and construction planning processes while aligning with heritage preservation goals.
Before joining Control Risks full-time in the US, Sophie interned at the Control Risks Washington D.C. office while completing her graduate studies and later worked full time in the Dubai office. Prior to that, Sophie held roles in the education sector, working internationally across the Middle East.
Sophie holds an MA in International Economics and Political Economy from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She is an Outreach Committee Member at the Secure Building Council and holds certifications in Advanced Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design from the National Institute of Crime Prevention, as well as ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Lead Implementor.
She speaks intermediate Arabic.
