Rebecca is a Partner, Advisory and Risk Consulting, based in Washington DC. Working with leadership across multinational corporations, she helps her clients manage acute incidents and crises, and strengthen their capacity to respond. Her special focus is on Life Sciences and she leads the Control Risks business for that sector.
Clients approach Rebecca for assistance in developing actionable security, crisis management and resilience programs, along with critical issues that require a rapid, multidisciplinary and discreet response. She specializes in conducting training and resilience exercises, and she has delivered executive-level training across six continents.
Recent engagements include:
- Providing custom training and coaching to C-Suite leaders on leading through crisis response.
- Serving in an outsourced crisis leadership and co-ordination capacity for a global architectural design firm responding to a critical cyber incident.
- Facilitating a crisis management simulation for a global Top 20 pharmaceutical firm’s executive committee with stakeholders across four continents.

Before joining Control Risks, she worked in Global Security for Biogen. Her career also includes roles in both the US federal government and corporate sectors, focusing on information and physical security.
Rebecca holds a Master’s degree in Information Security Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security and Investigations from Northeastern University. She is a certified Master of Business Continuity Management and a Governance Risk and Compliance Professional. Rebecca also manages Control Risks’ New England market, holding a security and investigations watchdog license in the state of Massachusetts to facilitate protective services and operational security on behalf of the firm.
